Headaches bring patients to my office every week. So many of us get them but most of us don’t know why. The truth is there are many different types of headaches (tension, migraine, cluster and sinus the four most common) and many different causes.
Very often, headaches originate from tension in the neck muscles causing pressure into the skull. Chiropractic adjustments as well as soft tissue therapy reduce tension in those muscles alleviating the headache. Many migraine sufferers report immediate relief and diminished pain following a cervical spine adjustment.
Because many headaches are related to hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, food intolerances as well as poor sleeping position and prolonged screen time, I will review your patient history thoroughly to determine what the root cause of your headaches may be and develop your treatment plan accordingly. You might be feeling a constant dull ache, pressure, or even pulsing pain that affects one or both sides of your head. You could also notice your headaches worsen after staring at a computer, during stressful weeks, or after certain foods. After in-depth assessment, I design a plan centered on gentle hands-on care, lifestyle recommendations, and strategies to reduce triggers. My goal is to help you find real relief as quickly as possible and get back to enjoying life’s moments, big and small.
